Laubach Literacy of Ventura County, Inc. (LLVC)
is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 organization.
This is both a challenge and an opportunity. The challenge part is obvious. Where is the opportunity? It comes in the form of service, sharing knowledge, seeing another human being benefit from your effort, living your commitment, and friendship. The following non-tutoring volunteer opportunities with LLVC are available: Record information for prospective students Maintain tutor roster, availability, and student assignments Conduct Prospective Tutor Intakes Train tutors or Assist at Tutor Training Workshop Serve as a Board officer or director Maintain LLVC Financial Records Track Student Gains, Track Student Hours, Retention, and Reasons for Exit Assist with LLVC Communications (website, contact list, brochures, e-mail) Historian Clerical Prepare grant and funding requests to foundations and philanthropic organizations Maintain ongoing contact with supporters For more information, call (805) 385-9584.
